The Sound of Sax

A musical journey through the evolution of the saxophone, this recital will explore some of the early French repertoire for saxophone, the American sonata and crossover works with jazz and contemporary influences. An engaging mixture of performing and storytelling about the instrument once described as "the devil's horn".

I will be accompanied by the accomplished pianist Amir Farid, presenting works by Demersseman, Creston, Morosco and Yoshimatsu.
